Do I need any technical knowledge to get it to work?

The AuctionTeq software is a stand alone product which once easily configured to match your business profile, will run on its own. However, you will probably want to add your own branding or customisation. How far you go with this is up to you and depends on your web design skills (as well as adherence to our terms and conditions). You may want the AuctionTeq web team to add a design interface or some custom features in which case we are quite happy to talk to you about your requirements. Please see our bespoke software section for more information about this.

On the other hand you may wish to commission a web designer or design company you know to do it for you. Either way, we will work closely with any organisation you wish to utilise.

Remember, we also offer an auction software installation service whereby we will take care of all the technical issues of installing the software on your behalf.

 


 I don't have a web site. Do I need one for AuctionTeq to work?

You don't have to have an existing web site to use our auction software. However, a web site will be required. We can provide you with web hosting for your new auction site that has everything you need to effectively operate your auction site. During the purchase process, you can select web hosting and the free domain name you wish to use.

 I already have a web site. How will AuctionTeq integrate with it?

If you already have a web site, AuctionTeq can be designed in your company livery making a seamless connection. Your users won't see the join! You can either customise the auction site templates yourself or ask us and we will give you a competitive quotation.

Remember that our auction software runs on a Microsoft Windows Server platform using ASP technology. If your existing web site already runs on a Windows platform, the AuctionTeq software will install without any difficulties. If your web site runs on a different platform, you will need to purchase our web hosting service where we will set up a new domain name of your choosing where your auction site will live. Please see our auction hosting service page for more details.

We also offer an auction software installation service whereby we will take care of all the technical issues of installing the software on your behalf.

 


 What happens once I purchase my AuctionTeq licence?

Once you sign up to purchase an edition of the AuctionTeq software, you will be emailed details of how to access your purchase. The auction software will be delivered as a .ZIP file, for which you will need to use software such as WinZip to extract the auction site files.

The ZIP file will contain everything you need to get your auction site up and running, including an installation script, installation guide, getting started guide and database files.

Remember, once you make a purchase, we don't run away and leave you to it! We will be on-hand to assist you with any difficulties you may experience, so that your auction site will be up and running quickly, and with the minimum of fuss.

 


 I'm a web designer. Can I resell AuctionTeq?

Sure! Web designers and developers can offer AuctionTeq's functionality as part of their package of services. It costs nothing to be a reseller and you will receive a commission for every sale you make on our behalf.

 Can my customers pay by credit card at the end of an auction?

They certainly can! But first, you must obtain an Internet merchant account from an aquiring bank, and then sign up with one of the supported Payment Service Providers that we have partnered with.

Once you have the above in place, it's simply a matter of entering a few settings in AuctionTeq Manager and your auction site will immediately be able to take credit card payments on-line.
